This week the Mentzendorff team were treated to a “sweet” visit hosted by Joao Vasconcelos and Pedro Araujo, master chocolatier from Vinte Vinte Chocolate, to unlock the wonders of Port and Chocolate pairing. Vinte Vinte, winner of numerous chocolate academy awards including two gold medals and seven silver, demonstrated the versatility of port and chocolate pairings with a selected range from the Fladgate portfolio. In the heart of Porto, you’ll find the incredible craft chocolate makers, Vinte Vinte- with an aim of producing some of the finest quality chocolate, from bean to bar!

Their name sake is based on where they source their cocoa beans – all their cocao comes from farms within 20 degrees north or south of the equator – the ideal growing conditions for cacao. The team also acted as quality control testers for the latest Vinte Vinte creation: chocolate shot cups (!), which will be used at trade and consumer events until year end to promote the perfect pairing: Port and Chocolate – a match made in heaven.

The sales team were also further familiarised with the Vinte Vinte / Taylor’s Gift box which will land in October ready for Christmas gifting.
