Our final three days on the road took us on a delightful journey through the picturesque landscapes of Devon and Somerset. Each stop was a unique experience, blending local charm with lively celebrations, all set against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful spots in the Southwest.

Friday: A Taste of France at The Embankment Bistro, Dartmouth

We kicked off the weekend in the scenic town of Dartmouth, where the Embankment Bistro hosted us for an unforgettable evening. The venue, perched right on the water’s edge, was buzzing with excitement as they launched their Fête Français. To celebrate, the Bistro had set up a vibrant BBQ, filling the air with the mouth-watering aromas accompanied by AIX rose.  The atmosphere was alive, as locals and visitors gathered to enjoy the festivities.

Saturday: Sailing Heritage at Stones Boatyard, Salcombe

The next day, we made our way to Stones Boatyard, a place steeped in nautical history. Known as the home of YETI and the Salcombe Yawl, this boatyard holds a special place in the hearts of sailing enthusiasts. The Salcombe Yawl, a traditional sailing vessel native to Salcombe, was a fitting centrepiece for the 20th Anniversary Party we attended. The celebration was in full swing, with AIX and Bollinger flowing freely as we served and sold these premium beverages to guests who appreciated the finer things in life.

Sunday: A Serene Finish at The Mount Somerset

Our journey concluded on a serene note as we headed “up country” to The Mount Somerset. This elegant country house hotel provided the perfect setting for a relaxing Sunday. We set up a sampling session on the lush, green lawn, where guests could savour a selection of food and AIX. Adding to the charm of the afternoon was a talented singer who serenaded us as we enjoyed the surroundings. It was a day of indulgence and relaxation, a fitting end to a whirlwind weekend.
