This week the team has travelled around the UK to continue the series of Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 launch events in the North of England, hosted by Guy de Rivoire. The first stop was Adams Restaurant, a Michelin star establishment in Birmingham. Guests were greeted on arrival with a glass of Bollinger Special Cuvée followed by a 5-course paired menu in the restaurant’s private dining room, showcasing the gastronomic versatility of both the La Grande Année and the La Grande Année Rosé 2015. The 2003 by Bollinger was served as the “Vin Surprise” to much delight! Adams Restaurant are going to list La Grande Année 2015 going forwards through Nickolls and Perks.

The next event took place at Langdale Chase Hotel in the Lake District on Windemere’s waterfront. The drinks reception was held on the picturesque terrace in the sunshine overlooking the lake. The views continued inside as once again guests were treated to a 5-course menu paired with the La Grande Année and La Grande Année Rosé 2015, although this time with a “Vin Surprise” of La Grande Année 1989 (a very similar vintage to 2015 and showcasing the exceptional potential of these 2015 wines).
